The Holiday Parade of Lights is intended to be a Naperville hometown event featuring units who are closely related to our community. Units typically consist of
- School groups
- Youth theater/club/sports teams
- Boy/Girl Scouts
- Homeowners Associations
- Local non-profit clubs and organizations
- Local Downtown Naperville Alliance business members
- Other local businesses
- Special exhibitors at the invitation of the parade organizers
Each unit is expected to be colorfully attired in festive garb consistent with the holiday theme, preferably with special holiday lights. Units may walk as a group of marchers or may include a wagon or float pulled by a vehicle. Non-profit units should avoid using vehicles of a commercial nature (i.e., those with advertising for a business).
